Conversion Chart for Regular Flour: Cups to Ounces

These are the weights I use when substituting gluten-free flour for regular flour in a recipe.

Regular Flour: Cups to Ounces*

1/4 cup=1 1/8 ounces

1/3 cup=1 1/2 ounces

1/2 cup=2 1/4 ounces

2/3 cup=3 ounces

3/4 cup=3 3/8 ounces

1 cup=4 1/2 ounces

1 1/4 cups=5 1/2 ounces

1 1/3 cups=6 ounces

1 1/2 cups=6 5/8 ounces

1 2/3 cups=7 3/8 ounces

1 3/4 cups=7 5/8 ounces

2 cups=8 3/4 ounces

* Weights obtained on an Oxo scale, and by lightly spooning flour into measuring cups.
